Alice Williamson Obituary

Alice Williamson McAdamsObituary by the Ladies Aid Society - Bedias Baptist Church
Alice Williamson McAdams died in the great influenza epidemic of 1918.

It becomes the painful duty of the Ladies' Aid Society of Bedias Baptist Church to record the death of one of its most faithful and beloved members, Mrs. H. A. McAdams, who departed this life Wednesday, December 18, 1918, and beneath a bank of lovely flowers was laid to rest in the First Baptist Church cemetery the following day.

It requires no eloquent tongue to tell the history of her pure life. It can be truthfully said that she was as near perfection as woman can possibly reach, possessing the natural body given us by our Creator. During her life her greatest desire seemed to be always about her duties in the home, church, and neighborhood. Her last days of intense suffering were borne with great patience and fortitude, and her last thoughts seemed to be for the welfare of her loved ones left behind.

We extend our sympathy to each member of the family. Her place in the home will always be vacant, yet her example and influence will ever be present with you.

Though her name on our roll is passed over in silence, and her seat among us is ever vacant, let us profit by her example, and be always found about our Master's business.

Committee: Mrs. L.A. Barnes, Mrs. O.W. Wilson, Mrs. Alva Long
