Hester White's grave in the McAdams Cemetery
"John, when I die, bury me under this hickory tree."

When Hester died in 1849, John buried her under the hickory tree.
Hers was the first burial in the McAdams Cemetery.  The marker reads:

JOHN McADAMS

JAN. 16, 1849
